She has extensive experience of work with children and youth in many fields of work, for example as a nurse for several years in the Children\u00b4s Hospital and Rj\u00f3\u00f0ri\u00f0, a nursing home for chronically ill and disabled children. In 2016-2017, she took part in a working group for the International Society for Social Pediatrics and Child Health (ISSOP) on children on the move. Since 2016, project manager with asylum-seekers for the Icelandic Red Cross. \r\n\r\nJ\u00f3n\u00edna Einarsd\u00f3ttir is a professor of anthropology at the Faculty of Sociology, Anthropology and Ethnology, University of Iceland, and has a Ph.D. in anthropology from Stockholm University. Main fields of research include anthropology of children, medical anthropology and development studies. She has, for example, studied responses to child death and child trafficking in Guinea-Bissau, and in Iceland premature birth, child abuse and the Icelandic custom of sending urban children to stay on farms during the summer.\r\n\r\nGeir Gunnlaugsson is a paediatrician and professor of global health at the Faculty of Sociology, Anthropology and Ethnology, University of Iceland. He has a Ph.D. in paediatrics and a Master of Science degree in public health from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm. He was the Director of the Centre for Preventive Child Health Services 2000-2009, and Chief Medical Officer\/Surgeon General for Iceland 2010-2014.
